Dr Denis Eustace is a consultant psychiatrist who is on the specialist register of the psychiatry of later life. He has a particular interest in neurodegenerative disorders particularly Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. He is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists as well as a member of the College of Psychiatrists in Ireland. He is also a member of the International Psychogeriatric Association. He was Clinical Director of Highfield Hospital for many years. He was responsible for the development of Ireland’s first dementia dedicated residential centre as well as a palliative care centre for those sufferers requiring maximum dependency needs. For many years he was involved with the management of people with Alzheimer’s disease. He has developed helpful strategies in coping with the illness through its stages. ( Booklet.
